First ever CD reissue for the mysterious and compelling rhythm & blues singer, Thelma "Dolly" Cooper, who also recorded sides under such pseudonyms as "Baby Doll" and "Linda Peters". Despite a fifteen year recording career from 1946 to 1961 she had no quantifiable hits on the Billboard or Cash Box charts but her recordings were successful locally and her uptempo tracks from the mid 1950s, such as "My Man", "Ay La Bah" and "Big Rock Inn", continue to pack the dance floors of rockin' clubs and grace the turntables of rock 'n' roll fans to this day. This new Jasmine release reissues her (almost) complete output from 1952 to 1961, with her most celebrated recordings cut for Savoy, Modern, Dot, Ebb and A-B-S.
