Afrobeat, psychedelia, and deep funk grooves on this mighty Orlando Julius and His Modern Aces recording from 1970. A few years into his music career, in the late 1960s, Nigerian superstar Orlando Julius expanded his band and began to explore an increasingly deeper, funkier highlife fusion, responding to rock, psychedelia, and the funk grooves that were coming from the USA, as well as Fela Kuti's new Afrobeat direction. The two tracks featured on this single are wonderful examples of that constantly evolving sound, getting mellower, rootsier, and always profoundly hip shaking. Facsimile reissue of 1970 single.
